Mom had a triple bypass heart operation on June 19. It occurred under "fortunate" circumstances, as a 80-90% blockage was found in 3 places while doing a pre-surgery check for a (now postponed) knee surgury operation. Mom had the bypass operation without the heart attack.

My sister Wendy has been helping her through the initial very difficult phase. This was my first trip to help get Mom back into a normal active schedule. I flew in to St Louis on July 20.
Wendy picked me up at the airport, and we did a tour of her back yard.

Then we got to Mom's house, and I was happy to find that although Mom's voice sounds weak and frail on the phone, she is quite well along in her recovery. She is walking well, and has a fair amount of energy. Her voice is coming back slowly, and my being there gave her someone to talk to.
